Specs: HP Jornada 548 (32 Megs) TRENDnet CF I 10Base-T Ethernet Adapter $39 - This card is great. I Recommend getting an Ethernet Card. You can sync faster and backups take only 3-4 min! You will also need a network card for your pc ($20) and a hub (4 port netgear $10). Delkin READER-12 USB Card Reader for CF Type I and II - CompactFlash Reader/Writer for your USB port. I needed this because I was using slot for the Ethernet CF card. Only $24, Works great and transfers data much faster then using my cradle. TIP - I Downloaded Microsoft's Windows Media Encoder 7 and was able to compress and convert my MP3's into a .WMA file. I converted my MP3 files to WMA Near CD quality 64kbps bit rate files. I don't hear a difference between this and my old 96kbps MP3 files. The compression is about 40%-50% depending on the file. WMA files will play on the old Media Player. Screen Protector: YES (Highly recommend). I made my own using Dale Coffing's homemade screen protector instructions. Software Installed on my Pocket PC Snoopsoft's Dashboard

background image to match your Dashboard skin. The default Windows CE interface is very awkward to use. After installing Dashboard and Gigabar, I feel like I have a new Pocket PC. TimeTTracker - The program tracks your
time and expenses. This free program has most of the features that I would expect in a
commercially available product. PocketTV - Watch full motion video on
your Pocket PC. The files need to be in the mpeg-1 file format. There are not that many movie trailers available as of this writing.

small footprint for the Pocket PC. Download Customized map from Streets and Trips 2001. With a $20 Rebate, this program is a no brainer. CodeWallet Pro. - Great place to store all your bank info, passwords, ISP info, and more. 128 Bit encryption of your data means that no one is ever going to be able to break into your personal files. Rated 5 out of 5 at Foxpop. Good price at $20 Pocket Marbles - Good game to relax and have fun.
Pocket Explorer - Great Program - Very small footprint (<100K). Flash Player Plug-in - Play Flash .swf files on your Pocket PC. Look at my links page for flash content and links. RemindMe Where is My RAM? - Displays how much ram is used up in your ssytem by folder and file. Very small footprint. |
